My new book is now available!

My new book, To the One Who Conquers: 50 Meditations on the Seven Letters of Revelation 2-3 (Crossway Publishers, 239 pp.), is now available for purchase at my website (www.samstorms.com). It retails for $15 but I’m selling it for $12. Once again, shipping and handling for orders placed within the United States is absolutely free. Of course, you can also purchase the book on Amazon.com if you prefer, or from your local Christian bookstore.

I’m very excited about this volume, as it constitutes the second in a series of meditations on the biblical text that I’ve written. The first, The Hope of Glory: 100 Daily Meditations on Colossians was released earlier this year. The third, More Precious than Gold: 50 Daily Meditations on the Psalms, will be released in February of 2009.

Here is a brief description of To the One Who Conquers:

“The seven letters of Revelation 2 and 3 are utterly and unequivocally Christ centered in their content. The message is clear: Jesus is to be the center not only of your life individually but also of the life of the church. When it comes to the local church, our Lord cares comparatively little about numbers, cultural relevance, social influence, or financial prosperity. The only thing that ultimately matters is the degree to which a church and the lives of its members are shaped according to the likeness of Jesus.

These fifty daily meditations will prompt you to ask several questions: Is my church centered on Jesus? Is Jesus prized above all earthly treasures? Is Jesus the supreme source of spiritual satisfaction in my heart?

Each meditation can easily be read in ten minutes, and will provide the believer not only with deep instructional insight into the life of the church in the first century but also with a rich source of spiritual strength and encouragement for living in the present day.”

Peter serves as a pastor-teacher, at home and abroad, resourcing gospel-centred communities.
