power in weakness: reformed theology & charismatic experience belong together

Word and Spirit

This blog site is dedicated to the convergence of Reformed theology and charismatic experience. Reformed doctrine and the evidential ministry of the Spirit have relevance to every aspect of faith and practice, of course, not just to the on-going popular debates between cessationists and charismatics. My aim, therefore, is not only to encourage the ‘convergence’, as Sam Storms puts it, between conservative and charismatic evangelicals, but also to see how Reformed doctrine and life in the Holy Spirit impacts the wider concerns within evangelicalism. This is particularly relevant where current theological and ecclesialogical revisionism impacts the truth of the gospel and the faithful testimony of the Church. Watch this space for postings on Word and Spirit issues, related articles, sermons, blogs and books.
